Track expenses and unpaid bills.

Use optional Finance to separate what is due from what you have actually paid.

Illustrative example

These guides explain the documented Bunkfox workflows. The website is an interactive preview; it does not change live property records.

01

Choose where Finance is needed.

Finance is optional, with business defaults and property overrides. Core resident rent and collections still work when it is off. Use the tracker for additional business income, expenses and unpaid items; it is not a full accounting or payroll system.

02

Record the bill before the payment.

Add the expense, category and due date. A recurring schedule creates an unpaid item, not money already spent. Record the actual payment separately and leave any unpaid remainder visible.

03

Count each amount once.

Resident collections use the same receipts in the core and Finance views. A shared expense may stay at business level or be assigned across properties. Splitting a ₹3,000 cost between properties must still total ₹3,000.

04

Review gaps when switching Finance back on.

Turning Finance off preserves its history and export while pausing optional recurring items. Core rent billing continues. When it is enabled again, review the missed period; Bunkfox should not silently create catch-up entries.
