Handle notice, departure and final settlement.

Keep the leaving date, the final balance and any refund as separate steps.

Illustrative example

These guides explain the documented Bunkfox workflows. The website is an interactive preview; it does not change live property records.

01

Record the intended last day.

A resident can submit notice without first seeing a money estimate. Record the date and review future bed availability. If the notice changes or is withdrawn, review the bookings that may be affected. A planned leaving date does not vacate the bed.

02

Review the final rent and deposit.

Use the applicable notice, final-rent and refund rules, including agreed exceptions. Only show reviewed amounts as confirmed. If a refund rule has not been configured, leave that amount unconfirmed rather than treating it as zero.

03

Record the actual departure.

Confirm when the resident physically leaves. A resident can depart while still owing money or waiting for a refund. Keep occupancy, settlement and money movement separate so a financial delay does not leave the bed wrongly occupied.

04

Record money paid or returned.

Record the final balance and actual external payment or refund separately. Preserve the calculation and adjustment history. Former residents have an owner-configured access period with a visible deadline and a way to download records; expiry does not delete the records.
