Properties & stays4 min read

One business. Several properties. Clear records.

Keep the whole business in view without losing the rooms, residents and responsibilities at each address.

Illustrative example
01

Give every record a place.

A resident belongs to a stay at a particular property, room and bed. A repair belongs to a location. A receipt belongs to a resident record and a financial purpose. Those connections are what make a combined workspace useful.

Use the business view to see work across properties, then move into one property to act on the details. Check the selected property before changing a stay, reviewing money or writing an update.

02

Availability is more than an empty square.

Current occupancy and a future reservation describe different points in time. Before promising a bed, check the intended joining date and any overlapping stay or reservation.

A planned departure does not automatically vacate a bed. Physical check-in, departure and the records of those events need their own confirmation. A conflict should be resolved before check-in.

03

Give your team the right view.

An owner or co-owner can work across the business. Managers work within their assigned properties and permissions. Residents see their own linked stays and records.

That separation makes a shared workspace practical without giving every person access to everything. A property announcement should never reveal another resident’s balance or private details.

04

Compare the same kind of numbers.

When reviewing money across addresses, use the same period and distinguish rent dues from confirmed receipts. Deposits held are different from rent income, and an unpaid expense is different from money already paid.

If some properties use optional Finance and others do not, an expense comparison is incomplete. Keep that limitation visible instead of treating missing entries as zero spending.
